It cracks me up every time I eat this shit because people always go “What IS that??”. I admit, it does look terrible, but damn if it isn’t tasty and nutritious.
It’s one of my favorite power meals. 1cup sweet potato, 1/2 cup quinoa and 4oz of ground turkey all mashed up and stirred together. I’ll add a tablespoon of sweet bbq sauce sometimes too for taste. I like it because it’s SOOOPER easy to make, it’s portable and not messy, it tastes pretty darn good, and it’s good clean nutrition. True it’s not pretty, but it all looks the same coming out anyways ya know what I’m saying!
I just cook a cup or two of quinoa, 3 or 4 sweet potatoes and a pound of ground turkey and I’m set for a few days. You can portion it out in tupperware ahead of time or just scoop when you need to. It’s super high in carbs so its a great preworkout meal or breakfast if you’re in a rush in the mornings. I’ll add a tablespoon or two of olive oil or coconut oil to add some healthy fats and calories. Don’t be afraid of healthy fats my friends.
